The German Shorthair

A dog that can sleep on the couch Monday - Friday and hunt on the WEEKEND!
I have some of the best quality AKC registered German shorthair pointers in the Southeast. A good selection of pups. Bred from hunting
gun dogs. Good on singles and retrieving. Easy to train. A perfect pet that will also point birds, track wounded game and retrieve ducks or doves.
German Short Hair Pointers are intelligent, easy to train, natural pointers and retrievers and very willing to please.
The males stand 23 to 25 inches at the withers and weigh 55 to 70 lbs. and the females may be a bit smaller.

Shorthairs take well to living in the house or in the kennel - a dog family dog and still a keen hunting dog.  Their colors can range from solid liver to any combination of liver and white - sale and pepper ticked is common.
German Shorthaired Pointers are good with other animals and children but must be raised with them around or they may chase the cat or ignore the child.
According to O.F.A. statistics, shorthairs have a remarkably low incidence of hip displasia and have a lifespan of about 12 to 14 years.
All of our dogs are A.K.C. registered and have a 5 Generation Pedigree.  Some of the  field champions in our blood lines are:
{Timberdoodle Lancers Answer, Wildburg, Burr Oaks Big Jake, Moesgaards, Chicoree's Hickory Doc, Uodibar's PDQ Von Waldtaler,
 Uodibar's Peter Gun, P.J. Wildfire, Erdenreich's Big-E Nuf, Checkermates's White Smoke, Top Line Super Dude, Checkmate's Dandy Dude, Direct's Fine Line, Ammertal's Boss Ranger, Tip Top Timber, Snips Ticked Off, Rawhides Clown, Windrow Saddle Tramp, Hightailing Saddle, Dixieland's Rusty, Brown-L's Jet, Dixieland's Luke}

All of the above are field champions.  Show champions are not included  due to lack of space.
